Update Your iPad iOS Software / Actualiza tu iOS

This article will show you how to update the iOS software on your iPad. Software updates bring additional features as well as security & stability improvements. ------ Este artículo le mostrará cómo actualizar el software iOS en su iPad. Las actualizaciones de software aportan funciones adicionales, así como mejoras de seguridad y estabilidad.

NOTE: iOS updates can take some time to install. It is best to install them at the end of the day or when you will not need to use the iPad for an hour or so. Updates will not install if the battery charge is too low. Please plug-in your iPad below proceeding.

NOTA: Las actualizaciones de iOS pueden tardar un poco en instalarse. Es mejor instalarlos al final del día o cuando no necesite usar el iPad durante aproximadamente una hora. Las actualizaciones no se instalarán si la carga de la batería es demasiado baja. Conecte su iPad a continuación para continuar.

Updating iPad Software / Actualización del software del iPad

1. Open the "Settings" app. /  Abra la aplicación "Settings"

2. Tap "General" and then "Software Update" / Toca "General" y luego "Software Update"

3. Tap "Download and Install." If the update has already downloaded in the background, the button may just say "Install." 

Toca "Download and Install". Si la actualización ya se descargó en segundo plano, es posible que el botón solo diga "Install".

4. If necessary the update will download and your iPad will reboot. You will see a white progress bar as the update is installed.

Si es necesario, la actualización se descargará y su iPad se reiniciará. Verá una barra de progreso blanca mientras se instala la actualización.

 

Not Enough Space

Sin espacio suficiente

If your iPad doesn't have enough space to download the iOS Update:

  1. Remove large and unwanted photos and videos.  Begin with long videos (over 2 min), photo bursts, unwanted photos. 
  2. Open Photos
  3. Tap "Select" to choose the videos you want to REMOVE.
  4. Tap each photo or video to select it to be DELETED. (you will see a blue checkmark when it's successfully selected)
  5. Tap the trashcan icon to permanently delete these selected photos & videos to free up space on your iPad.

 

Si su iPad no tiene suficiente espacio para descargar la actualización de iOS:

  1. Elimina fotos y videos grandes y no deseados. Comience con videos largos (más de 2 minutos), ráfagas de fotos, fotos basura.
  2. Abra la aplicación "Photos".
  3. Toque "Select" para elegir los videos que desea BORRAR.
  4. Toque cada foto o video para seleccionarlo y eliminarlo. (verá una marca de verificación azul cuando se seleccione correctamente)
  5. Toque el icono de la papelera para eliminar permanentemente estas fotos y videos seleccionados y liberar espacio en su iPad.
